Set up in three steps.
Create an account in 30 seconds; name your household, pick your currency.
Share the 6-digit invite code; everyone joins the same budget.
Write the expense as a sentence, say it into the mic or snap the receipt — the assistant logs it.
Half a minute, running.
No staging, no speed-ups: the app’s own screen. Watch the sentence being typed, the receipt being read, and the household landing on one budget.

Type it. Hano handles it.
No long forms. Write the way you think — even installment purchases are logged with a single sentence.
Snap the receipt, say it out loud — Hano writes it down.
If typing is one step too many, photograph the receipt or talk into the mic. The amount, category and merchant fill themselves in.
What comes off a receipt lands as a confirmation card first — nothing is written until you tap “Save”.
PostedTake a photo of the receipt or pick one from your gallery. Hano reads the grand total, the merchant and the currency, picks the category itself, and understands “3 instalments” if the receipt says so. Subtotals, tax and discount lines are never logged as separate entries.
Hold the mic and say what you spent. The assistant transcribes it and drops the text into the input box — you can fix it before sending. It never saves on its own.
On iPhone, say “Hey Siri, add to Hano”; Siri asks “What should I record?” and you say the expense. No setup, no code to copy — it’s also waiting in Shortcuts, Spotlight, the Action Button and Control Center. On Android, long-press the app icon for “Add by voice” and “Scan a receipt”.
Your receipt photos and voice recordings are never stored — they are processed and discarded. Receipt scanning, voice entry and Siri are part of Pro and Max.
Every cent, accounted for.
Who spent what, and when — all clear. Installments split across months; assistant entries are labeled.
Find anything in seconds — by note, category or family member.
A 12-installment purchase splits into 12 months; you always see what remains.
One budget. Everyone in.
Invite your partner and loved ones. Everyone logs their own spending; you see it all in one place.
The moment your partner logs an expense, it appears on your screen.

Daily average, end-of-period projection and a savings verdict.
Your savings, in the same ledger.
Note when you bought gold, currencies or crypto and at what price; Hano shows what it’s worth today. No trading, no advice — just your own record.
Gold by the gram or ounce, Turkish gold coins, silver, major currencies and 20 cryptocurrencies update every hour. For stocks and funds, you enter the price.
Log buys and sells as they happen; average cost, gain/loss and realized gains from sales are calculated for you.
On Pro, type “bought 0.05 bitcoin at $73,600” and the assistant prepares the record; it’s added once you confirm.
Hano doesn’t trade and gives no investment advice. Gold values are approximate fine-gold values derived from the ounce price; jewellers’ prices may differ.
Set a goal. Know what to put aside each month.
$3,000 for a summer holiday in 7 months? Hano works out the monthly share, builds next month’s plan around your installments and recurring bills, and reminds you if you fall behind.
Enter an amount and a date; see how much to set aside this month and how much you already have. Fall behind and the gap spreads over the remaining months.
Installments, recurring bills, your average spending and goal shares add up to the income you need — and what’s left — before the month starts.
When you set a goal, Hano compares it with your monthly room to save; if it doesn’t fit, it suggests the date you’d actually get there.
Next month’s plan at month end, a nudge when you fall behind, and a note at 25, 50, 75 and 100%. On Pro, just type “add 200 to my vacation goal” — the assistant prepares it, you confirm.
Money set aside for goals doesn’t skew your income and expense stats. Goals belong to the whole household; 1 goal on Free, unlimited on Pro and Max.
Our design decisions are grounded in behavioral science.
Most budgeting apps get abandoned because logging is a chore. Hano is built on a 120-year-old tradition and three evidence-based principles: reduce friction, give instant feedback, and make the budget visible to the whole family.
Writing it down is the first step to saving.
Created in 1904 by journalist Hani Motoko, kakeibo (家計簿, “household ledger”) is the practice of writing every bit of income and expense into a notebook by hand. Four simple questions — How much do I have? How much do I want to save? How much am I spending? How can I improve? — make you face your spending and turn setting money aside for investing into a habit. It still works today for a reason: the act of writing sharpens awareness.
Hano carries this 120-year-old discipline to your smartphone — not a notebook, just a single sentence. The spirit of kakeibo, mindful logging and steady saving, now without the effort.
Tracking changes behavior
In behavior-change research, self-monitoring consistently ranks among the most effective techniques: people who see their spending, manage their spending. Hano removes the biggest barrier to it — the effort of logging — down to a single sentence.

Research shows money disagreements are among the most damaging and persistent conflicts between couples. A shared, transparent budget turns the "who spent what?" argument into data — you discuss facts, not guesses.

People keep money in mental buckets and systematically underestimate small, recurring expenses. Category breakdowns and end-of-period projections reveal the true picture your intuition misses.

Your transaction notes are encrypted on your device; not even the server can read them. Only you can.
A deliberate choice: you or the assistant add the entries. Your banking credentials are never asked for and never shared.
Never sold, never used for ads. Export every record as JSON, and delete your account and data permanently whenever you want.
